FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - CAN'T A RETAINER CORRECT THE ALIGNMENT OF MY TEETH?
Retainers are designed primarily to "retain" teeth in the position to which they were moved during orthodontic treatment. It is sometimes possible to produce some slight movement of teeth with a retainer. When braces are removed all patients receive a retainer to hold their teeth in position. Your teeth may tend to shift out of alignment without use of retainers.
TYPES OF RETAINERS
Hawley Retainer - with color and wires
 The Invisable - clear plastic
The 3X3 Lower Lingual - wire that is bonded to the back of the teeth
 Pre-Finisher
