FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - WHEN SHOULD MY CHILD BE SEEN BY AN ORTHODONTIST?
Dr. Koenig recommends that all patients be seen for an orthodontic evaluation by age 7. Some dental or jaw problems can be prevented from fully developing by initiating early orthodontic treatment (age 7 to 9 years old). Even if appliance therapy is not initiated, a child's growth and development can be followed for best treatment timing later on.
